YSMW Website!

Jeremy Flick August 23, 2012

Welcome to the Your Strength, My Weakness website!!! It's been a long work in progress and I'm very excited to launch the completed site (with a personal URL) within the next couple of weeks! Until then, please enjoy what I'm going to call the "beta" site (with the idea that it's going to be constantly changing until it's PERFECT). The site will be the MOST up to date thing out there for anything YSMW - and no more jumping from Facebook to Twitter to Soundcloud to whatever new social media network happens to come out that week. The YSMW website has everything in ONE place and even some free downloads (that may be hard to find otherwise). Not only that, but I'm making a pledge to write at least one weekly update on the website to keep fans informed about what is going on! I'm super excited to finally be bringing this to the fans (you guys!) and I hope you are too. Not only is the new site launching soon, but I hope to have some new music within the next couple weeks as well. But I'm not promising anything yet. Creativity seems to be alluding me these days. No worries, new YSMW is just around the corner!

The Circle Review

Here is my weekly post like I promised! There's not much to update with YSMW, because I have been working tirelessly on a new project this past week. The new project is a literary magazine and I'm trying to start it from the ground up. Definitely not an easy task, but I'm super excited and passionate about it, which is rare for me these days. No worries, new YSMW still isn't very far away!

"It's hard to tell with these Internet startups if they're really interested in building companies or if they're just interested in the money. I can tell you, though: If they don't really want to build a company, they won't luck into it. That's because it's so hard that if you don't have a passion, you'll give up." - Steve Jobs

Busy Busy Busy

Jeremy Flick September 26, 2012

So, life has gotten the best of me and I have neglected to have a "weekly post" for a few weeks. A demo is in the works (and maybe more by the time I actually get a decent take) and should be finished soon! I promised new YSMW and it is on its way. I've been thinking tirelessly about recording a full length album and can't get the notion of calling it Now You Can Quit Asking â€‹out of my head. It's kind of a joke, but seriously, people keep asking when I'm going to release updated recordings of songs on the EP and newer songs. I guess that means It's going to have to be soon... right? Well, my situation as of right now makes that harder than I would like, but I will do my best to start recording ASAP! If I do this, I want it to be done right, so a release within 2012 doesn't seem plausible, but a release exactly 3 years after SL&L dropped? That's much more likely. There you go, a formal pre-announcement announcement. Look for a full-length album May 25th, 2013! (Hopefully.)

"I was born with music inside me. Music was one of my parts. Like my ribs, my kidneys, my liver, my heart. Like my blood. It was a force already within me when I arrived on the scene. It was a necessity for me-like food or water." - Ray Charles

Journal Entries

Jeremy Flick November 9, 2014

Here is the announcement we have all been waiting for. A FULL LENGTH YSMW ALBUM! It's titled Journal Entries and will be released November 25, 2014. While I would like people to get their own ideas about the content, I will divulge that this album touches on love, loss, depression, and obsession. It's an album--and by that I mean you should listen to it in order, because that's how it is made for you to listen. I think that you will all love what is in this album. I can tell, and I'm sure you will be able to as well, that I have progressed as a musician and the music is maturing along with the content. You can pre-order the "special edition" of the album here and if you'd rather not pay, a free version will be released on Nov. 25 as well. Aside from this exciting news, I'm planning on starting to write another album shortly. Now that I'm jumping on the train, I need to keep it moving!
